Uttaranchal Association of North America (UANA) was
established in 1998 and has been registered as a non-profit
organization in Fairfax, Virginia, USA.
UANA's vision, the vision of every UANA member, is one that
encompasses who we are and where we came from, that involves
our cultural and ethnic identity, and our heritage. Each activity
or mission UANA is involved with contributes to the vision's
realization, yet it's also important, exciting, and fun work.
The main objective of UANA is to preserve and promote our culture
and heritage, to organize social activities to bring the community
closer, to make people aware of the issues of Uttarakhand, and
to channel efforts, help and support to resolve these issues.
The association hopes to provide a forum for Uttarakhandis in
North America to share their views, joys and sorrows and help
our children feel more confident and secure about their cultural
heritage and values. UANA also organizes activities to bring
the community together and make it a strong and unified group. |

annual UANA convention. The Annual UANA convention this year is being
organized by the UANA local chapter from National capital region on
Saturday, 15 August 2009. Please mark
